Keyboardist Elisha "Atlas" Parris has been an award winning composer and pianist for more than 20 years. No stranger to the Jazz community, Atlas was the lead keyboardist for the popular 90's jazz band SEGUE, with their chart-topping release TELL YA IN A SECOND (2000). Both prior to and since that time, Elisha’s distinctive style of keyboard performance has made him a much sought-after and highly respected musician.
After years as an Indie record label executive and critically acclaimed composer and producer, Elisha decided it was time to return to the black-and-whites with a creative focus that fuses together the sounds of Jazz, Soul, R&B and Gospel into an exciting and distinguished genre of music called URBAN JAZZ. With the release of his 2010 project AtLasT, Elisha has made a huge impression on Florida’s jazz community, appearing in such venues as the historic B-Sharp Jazz Café in the state’s capital, as well as the 2010 Riverwalk Jazz Series and the 2011 Jacksonville Jazz Festival
Catch Elisha & A'JaZE this year as he headlines in the Jacksonville Jazz Festival at The House of Jazz, the old Snyder Church on Laura Street... May 25, 2012 at 8pm!
